  • 1: Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?

My closet doors are currently in the basement, where they’ve been for as long as I’ve lived here. I think they were moved down there to be painted, but that still hasn’t happened. But I’m moving tomorrow, to a bedroom where the closet doors will always be closed and the closet not actually mine.

  • 2: Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?

No. I used to be fascinated with them as a child, but as an adult, I use them while staying in the hotel and that’s all.

  • 3: Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?

Hahahaha. Sheets on my bed. That’s funny. Right now, my bed is at my sister’s house, due to the moving tomorrow. But where I’m moving, I will probably sleep on top of all the covers because my grandmother likes it warm in the house and I’ll be upstairs, where it’s even warmer.

  • 4: Have you ever stolen a street sign before?

No.

  • 5: Do you like to use post-it notes?

Yes. I like them a lot. Which is why I don’t keep them around.

  • 6: Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?

No, I rarely cut out coupons.

  • 7: Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of a bees?

Bees.

  • 8: Do you have freckles?

Yes, quite a lot of them.

  • 9: Do you always smile for pictures?

No. I rarely smile because I hate my teeth and it never looks genuine.

  • 10: What is your biggest pet peeve?

Split infinitives. And people who believe that not being in school is an excuse to dump all knowledge of English grammar.

  • 11: Do you ever count your steps when you walk?

Yes.

  • 12: Have you ever peed in the woods?

When I was 10, I went to this cookout-type thing with my sister and my grandparents on the property of another family from their church. We weren’t actually in the woods, but there were woods nearby. I had to pee, but the only available toilet was a porta-john and I had never used one before and I have an anxiety disorder that makes new situations difficult for me, so I didn’t and I ultimately urinated in my pants. Sadly, that was not the last time my anxiety caused me to urinate not in a toilet.

  • 13: What about pooped in the woods?

No. I did in the backyard as a child though.

  • 14: Do you ever dance even if there’s no music playing?

It’s fairly rare for there not to be music playing, but I am known to dance without music. But not while anyone is watching. Unless I’m really happy.

  • 15: Do you chew your pens and pencils?

Not usually, which is odd given how frequently I chew on other things.

  • 16: How many people have you slept with this week?

Zero.

  • 17: What size is your bed?

Double.

  • 18: What is your Song of the week?

I have a playlist that I listen to literally every single day. It’s 51 minutes, 46 seconds long. So I guess all of those songs, because I definitely can’t pick just one.

  • 19: Is it okay for guys to wear pink?

Yes. It’s okay for anyone to wear any color.

  • 20: Do you still watch cartoons?

Yes.

  • 21: Whats your least favorite movie?

There are thousands of movies I’ve never seen. The least favorite of those I have? Probably Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, though I mostly ignored it in favor of reading.

  • 22: Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?

I would get bored and exhausted before I could dig a hole sufficiently deep, so nowhere.

  • 23: What do you drink with dinner?

Depends on the meal. Milk with spaghetti exclusively. Milk for a lot of things, juice for a few, water for some.

  • 24: What do you dip a chicken nugget in?

Ketchup.

  • 25: What is your favorite food?

Chicken alfredo.

  • 26: What movies could you watch over and over and still love?

Saved!, Crash, Notting Hill. There are dozens, really.

  • 27: Last person you kissed/kissed you?

My nephew!

  • 28: Were you ever a boy/girl scout?

No.

  • 29: Would you ever strip or pose nude in a magazine?

Unlikely.

  • 30: When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper?

Not that long ago. Maybe two weeks? I wrote a letter to Anna and one to Tricia.

  • 31: Can you change the oil on a car?

No.

  • 32: Ever gotten a speeding ticket?

Yes.

  • 33: Ever ran out of gas?

Not as a driver.

  • 34: Favorite kind of sandwich?

Roast beef, colby jack cheese, miracle whip, and shredded lettuce on a croissant. So unhealthy, but so damn tasty.

  • 35: Best thing to eat for breakfast?

Cheerios.

  • 36: What is your usual bedtime?

Lately, 10 PM, thought that’s not the case this particular evening.

  • 37: Are you lazy?

Very.

  • 38: When you were a kid, what did you dress up as for Halloween?

Clown, dog, Abby Sciuto, Fauna from Sleeping Beauty, Hermione Granger, I’m sure other things, but those are the ones I remember.

  • 39: What is your Chinese astrological sign?

I had to look this up because I had no idea what that even meant. Astrology.com informs me that mine is a sheep.

  • 40: How many languages can you speak?

Fluently? One. I speak some French and very little Spanish and ASL.

  • 41: Do you have any magazine subscriptions?

No.

  • 42: Which are better legos or lincoln logs?

Legos!

  • 43: Are you stubborn?

Yes.

  • 44: Who is better…Leno or Letterman?

I don’t watch either.

  • 45: Ever watch soap operas?

So, when I was in 7th grade, I stopped going to school for a while before we moved to another state. I don’t remember exactly why I stopped going to long before the actual move took place, but in that time, I got hooked on All My Children and I continued to watch it for the rest of that school year and up until I finally returned to school.

  • 46: Are you afraid of heights?

Occasionally, but I’m afraid of so many things that I have to draw the line, so I don’t let that stop me from doing things.

  • 47: Do you sing in the car?

Frequently.

  • 48: Do you sing in the shower?

Only if there’s no one else in the house or possibly returning within the duration of my shower.

  • 49: Do you dance in the car?

If I’m excited about something.

  • 50: Ever used a gun?

No. I touched one once when we visited a police station in elementary school and that is the extent of my experience with a gun.

  • 51: Last time you got a portrait taken by a photographer?

1994, unless we count school pictures. If those count, 2008? I think. Maybe 2007.

  • 52: Do you think musicals are cheesy?

I love musicals, but some of them can be cheesy.

  • 53: Is Christmas stressful?

Depends on who’s involved. But I love Christmastime.

  • 54: Ever eat a pierogi?

I have no idea what that even is. Okay. I looked it up. If ravioli counts as a variety, yes. Otherwise, no.

  • 55: Favorite type of fruit pie?

I don’t like fruit pies. Or most pies. I will occasionally eat pumpkin, but as I get older, tolerance for the cumin taste seems to lessen.

  • 56: Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid?

At different times: Doctor, vet, writer. Eventually, I settled on librarian.

  • 57: Do you believe in ghosts?

No.

  • 58: Ever have a Deja-vu feeling?

Frequently.

  • 59: Take a vitamin daily?

No.

  • 60: Wear slippers?

When I need them.

  • 61: Wear a bath robe?

I have one, but I forget to wear it a lot of the time.

  • 62: What do you wear to bed?

Pajamas.

  • 63: First concert?

ALL CAPS, Hank Green, Molly Lewis, etc. at VidCon 2010.

  • 64: Wal-Mart, Target or Kmart?

Wal-Mart usually.

  • 65: Nike or Adidas?

Neither.

  • 66: Cheetos Or Fritos?

Both are gross.

  • 67: Peanuts or Sunflower seeds?

Peanuts, but I don’t regularly eat either.

  • 68: Ever hear of the group Tres Bien?

No.

  • 69: Ever take dance lessons?

No.

  • 70: Is there a profession you picture your future spouse doing?

Probably something really nerdy.

  • 71: Can you curl your tongue?

Yes.

  • 72: Ever won a spelling bee?

No, unfortunately.

  • 73: Have you ever cried because you were so happy?

Yes.

  • 74: Own any record albums?

No.

  • 75: Own a record player?

No.

  • 76: Regularly burn incense?

No.

  • 77: Ever been in love?

Probably not.

  • 78: Who would you like to see in concert?

Sara Ramirez.

  • 79: What was the last concert you saw?

The cast of Grey’s Anatomy.

  • 80: Hot tea or cold tea?

I don’t like tea.

  • 81: Tea or coffee?

I don’t like coffee either.

  • 82: Sugar or snickerdoodles?

I hope that actually means sugar COOKIES, because that’s an otherwise awkward question. Probably snickerdoodles.

  • 83: Can you swim well?

Passably. I wouldn’t say well.

  • 84: Can you hold your breath without holding your nose?

Yes, but I require a nose plug while swimming.

  • 85: Are you patient?

Depends on what I’m waiting to happen.

  • 86: DJ or band, at a wedding?

For my own? I don’t ever plan to have one, but I guess a DJ?

  • 87: Ever won a contest?

Depends on what counts. I have plaques for my success in year three and year four French from when I was in high school.

  • 88: Ever have plastic surgery?

For reconstructive purposes, maybe. For aesthetic reasons, probably not.

  • 89: Which are better black or green olives?

I don’t like either.

  • 90: Can you knit or crochet?

I can crochet, but not well.

  • 91: Best room for a fireplace?

Den?

  • 92: Do you want to get married?

If it were important to my partner, I would, but I don’t feel like you have to be married to be committed.

  • 93: If married, how long have you been married?

I am not.

  • 94: Who was your HS crush?

I didn’t really do crushes.

  • 95: Do you cry and throw a fit until you get your own way?

I have a few times, but not habitually.

  • 96: Do you have kids?

No.

  • 97: Do you want kids?

It would be a discussion to have with a partner, but I do not have favorable genes and I might not be medically well enough to have a child by the time it comes up. I also believe I would be a terrible parent, but, as with most things, I’m not completely closed off to the idea.

  • 98: What’s your favorite color?

Blue.

  • 99: Do you miss anyone right now?

Always.
